Oh Jane ❤️ I can hear your voice as I read your words. Your story is almost as powerful as you. I look forward to your next piece. I love that you and Emily are doing this together.
Hey sweets - I remember when we came over when Emily was a baby, and someone had to help you when we were playing Yahtzee because you couldn't hold the pencil. And remember when a repairman came over and he thought you had just had your nails done, which was why you couldn't sign the check. So jarring. I love that you are putting pen to paper. We are on the journey with you! I do have one question: how are the eyes part of the evaluation/ diagnosis for MS?
I'd forgotten those, but I do remember once sitting with some friends having a cuppa and dropping my tea cup for no reason. I was horrified as Emily and her little friends were playing on the floor between us and my tea just missed them.
Re: the eyes in diagnosis, 20-30% of people have optic neuritis during diagnosis so it is a diagnostic test usually done. 70% of people with MS deal with it at some point.
Bravely & beautifully written. Thank you for sharing. Lots of love to you!
Much love to you and your family on this journey. You are a warrior. 🙏🏿
